Slicer

Software that converts a 3D model into layer instructions for a particular printer and process.

A slicer applies printer, nozzle, material, orientation, support, infill, speed and temperature settings. A successful export from a modeling tool does not substitute for inspection of the slicer preview and machine configuration.
